Goa has a strategic location advantage with accessibility via road, rail, sea and airports, which is why our company chose to invest in Goa. Physical infrastructure that are fast improving, availability of talent to meet our company objectives and a very supportive state government encourages us to invest more in Goa. We have made a very good progress in the previous expansion projects approved by Goa IPB and the officials of Goa IPB have really helped us to get additional power load from Electricity Dept which was critical to expand our operations. Thanks to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa and Goa IPB team for immediate action post their visit to our plant and for supporting us on this expansion project.

UNICHEM set up its facilities in Goa more than 20 years ago mainly due to Goa’s connectivity to major industrial/financial hubs and rest of the world by air, road, sea and rail with enviable law and order scenario, pollution free environment with very peace loving citizens, availability of well educated, disciplined manpower having positive work culture and aptitude to compete globally. With successive Governments’ progressive policies to develop international standards infrastructure including airports, roads, seaports, medical, educational and cultural facilities prompted UNICHEM to grow substantially in Goa. In a major boost to the State’s efforts to improve ease of doing business for industrial sector and investors, the visionary leadership of Goa created the Investment Promotion Board to generate substantial employment opportunities to the young talent from Goa. Though UNICHEM is having its facilities at other locations, Goa was the preferred destination to further invest and expand UNICHEM’s existing Pharma Formulations manufacturing and R & D facilities as well as setting up new state-of-the-art facility in the upcoming industrial estate of GIDC with very proactive and positive support from Goa IPB and other associate departments of the Government of Goa.
