Goa Industry Classification

1. MSME

As per the gazette notification by the Government of India, (Notification: CG-DL-E-01062020-219680; dtd 01/06/2020, the criteria for classification of micro, small and medium enterprises is as given below:
  1. A Micro Enterprise, where the investment in Plant and Machinery or Equipment does not exceed one crore rupees and turnover does not exceed five crore rupees.
  2. A Small Enterprise, where the investment in Plant and Machinery or Equipment does not exceed ten crore rupees and turnover does not exceed fifty crore rupees.
  3. A Medium Enterprise, where the investment in Plant and Machinery or Equipment does not exceed fifty crore rupees and turnover does not exceed two hundred and fifty crore rupees.
The above criterion for classification of MSMEs is followed by Government of Goa. This notification has come into effect from 01.07.2020.

2. Large Industries

Large Industries means the Industrial unit, which sets up with a capital investment between Rs 10 to 100 Crores. The Government will also extend tailor-made benefits to Large Industrial Projects to suit to a particular investment requirement on case to case basis

3. Mega Industries

Mega Industries means the Industrial unit, which sets up with a capital investment of Rs.100 Crores and above or a project that creates employment to more than 1000 or more Goans. The Government will also extend tailor-made benefits to Mega Projects to suit to a particular investment requirement on case to case basis
