02/01/2024: GIDC LOGO LAUNCH

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant ji launched the new Logo of Goa IDC in the presence of Industries & Panchayat Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho, GIDC Chairman & MLA Shri Reginaldo, and representatives of Industries Associations and others. The Government of Goa has brought in policy & regulatory changes for industries with,

  1. Creation of Single Window clearance system for Land Allocation, and Construction.
  2. Logistics, Warehouses, IT and IT enabled Services sectors have been given Industries Status.
  3. Liberalizing the Transfer & Sub Lease method, bringing in Ease of Exit for the businesses.

The Invest in Goa Summit 2024 will take place organised by Govt of Goa, Invest India, @FollowCII and other industries bodies. It is aimed towards attracting investment in the state.

03/11/2023: 35TH GIPB BOARD MEETING

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant ji chaired the 35th Board Meeting of the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board. The Board deliberated and approved 7 projects with proposed investments of Rs.180 Crores and Employment potential of 1208 people. The Board reviewed the progress of already approved projects and Ease of Doing Business initiatives.

29/09/2023: CII GOA CONFERENCE ON LOGISTICS

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant ji attended and addressed the CII Goa Conference on Logistics on “Unlocking Trade Potential through Multimodal Logistics’. Logistics is important for global trade and critical driver of regional economies. The CII initiative promises to redefine the trajectory of our state, ushering in investments, fostering employment, and catalysing the economic growth of entire state through a dynamic logistics industry.

The Prime Minister Gati Shakti Yojana, a visionary project by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, sets the stage for a new era in India’s as well as Goa’s logistical landscape. The Govt of Goa is committed to support in realizing the vision of making Goa a true Multi-modal Logistics Hub.

20/06/23: 4TH G20 TOURISM WORKING GROUP MEETING

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant ji attended and addressed the Inaugural ceremony of 4th #G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting in the presence of Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Shri Kishan Reddy ji, Union Minister of State of Tourism Shri Shripad Yesso Naik , Union MoS for Tourism Shri Ajay Bhatt, Goa Tourism and IT Minister Shri Rohan Khaunte, the Tourism Ministers of the G20 Countries and other esteemed dignitaries.

Hon’ble Chief Minister also welcomed all the esteemed dignitaries in Goa for this meeting under the theme of VasudhaivaKutumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future. I am sure the discussions will be fruitful; collaborations will be enduring and the shared vision of a prosperous and inclusive world will be realized.

Goa intends to expand the scope of tourism beyond beaches and in multiple sectors. The Tourism Board is the apex body in the state instrumental in tourism development with bringing together all stakeholders for a sustainable, collective growth.

With the coordinated efforts of Union Government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the Government of Goa, the tourism sector shall further transform.

19/07/2023: G20 ENERGY TRANSITIONS WORKING GROUP MEETING

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant ji attended the G20 Energy Transitions Working Group Meeting. Hon’ble CM welcomed all the delegates from G20 countries, invitee countries and representatives of international organisations. The Government of India has taken multiple steps to decarbonize transport, including promoting use of electric vehicles, The National Mission on Electric Mobility aims to improve charging infra, and develop a domestic manufacturing ecosystem.

The Government of Goa proposes that it will be made mandatory that all New tourist vehicles, Rent a Cab and Rent a Bike shall be EV from January 2024. New Government Light Motor Vehicles purchased from January 2024 will mandatorily be EV’s. It will also be mandatory for permit holders having multiple tourist taxis, rent a bike and rent a cab operator to retrofit 30% of the fleet to EV by June 2024.

The Government of Goa has formulated the Goa Electric Mobility Promotion Policy 2021, and EV Concessional Charging Infrastructure Policy 2021 to promote EV ecosystem in the state.

07/10/2022: INVEST GOA SUMMIT 2022

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant ji inaugurated the InvestGoa2022 summit in the presence of Former Union Minister and India’s Sherpa at G20 Shri Suresh Prabhu ji, Cabinet Ministers Shri Mauvin Godinho & Shri Rohan Khaunte and leaders and members of industries bodies.

Hon’ble Chief Minister released the Goa Industrial Growth and Investment Policy 2022. Goa has already released its Start Up Policy 2020, Tourism Policy 2021 that will benefit the entrepreneurs, businesses to invest in Goa and do business in Goa.

Goa is getting all the support from the Union Government for Infrastructure development of the state. With Investor, business friendly policies Government of Goa welcomes businesses and industries to invest in Goa which shall create employment opportunities for the people of State.
